TRUSTPILOT REVIEW GUIDE · UK BUSINESSES
Trustpilot won’t remove a review: what to do next
Trustpilot has left a disputed review online despite your report. Before flagging it again, compare the decision with the concern you raised. We help UK businesses assess whether further evidence, a clearer explanation or an available dispute route could make a useful next step.
The useful next question is why the report failed—not how many times you can send it.
FIND YOUR STARTING POINT
What is the gap in the decision?
Choose the concern closest to your situation. These are ways to examine the outcome, not predictions of success.
Select your situation above. No review details are needed.
Challenge the reasoning with specific information
If you believe the decision missed relevant evidence, follow the response instructions and explain what was overlooked. Trustpilot provides a decision dispute process; use the applicable route in its guidance or correspondence rather than assuming the flag button starts a new appeal. Avoid a series of reports with changing reasons unsupported by the facts.
FICTIONAL EXAMPLE · NOT A CLIENT RESULT
No invoice does not necessarily mean no experience
I waited a week for a written quotation and had to book another firm.
A trades business has no completed job under the reviewer’s name. The complaint still describes an enquiry that may be genuine. A challenge needs to address that experience rather than relying only on the absence of an invoice.
Allow for a genuine experience you cannot match
Someone can review an interaction without buying anything, and a display name may not match your records. If your initial report relied only on the absence of an order, reassess that premise before proceeding. A customer can also disagree with your account without the review automatically becoming removable.
Keep the report and the response together
- The review link, current wording, and original reporting category.
- Trustpilot’s complete decision and subsequent correspondence.
- What evidence was already submitted and what is genuinely new.
- A concise explanation of the specific finding you believe the evidence contradicts.
Keep original records. Share only what is relevant, and avoid putting private customer or staff information into a public reply.
Challenge the point that matters
These steps explain the platform’s published process. Reporting is available without paying for our service.
- Check the latest business guidelines and compare the reported reason with the actual concern.
- Use the reply or dispute route provided by Trustpilot to explain the evidence you believe was missed. Keep the case reference.
- If no further route is offered, retain the outcome and assess the remaining options rather than repeatedly flagging the same issue.
Bring the case to a specialist
Provide the review link and the correspondence so far. Our specialist will assess the original concern, the reasons given and what remains available. You receive a clear recommendation within one business day, including when the evidence does not support further action.
Already tried the standard reporting process? We can assess whether further options are available for your case.
