TRUSTPILOT REVIEW GUIDE · UK BUSINESSES

Can you delete your Trustpilot business profile?

If you want your business taken off Trustpilot, first separate the public listing from your account and any paid plan. Closing access or cancelling a subscription does not normally remove the reviewed profile. We can assess specific review concerns and explain the limits of that work; profile deletion is not something we guarantee.

Review Removal guide · Sources checked

There are four different things people mean by “delete Trustpilot”. They do not have the same outcome.

Account, subscription, profile or review?

Business account

Your access to management tools.

Changing or closing access does not erase the public review page. Consider what access you still need.

Paid subscription

Your contract and billing.

Cancellation follows the applicable agreement. It is not a way to remove the profile or its reviews.

Public profile

The page people find and read.

Trustpilot generally keeps reviewed business profiles online. Not having claimed the page does not itself make deletion available.

Individual review

A specific piece of feedback.

A supported guideline concern can be assessed individually. That is a separate question from taking the business off the platform.

Profile errors and disputed reviews need different requests

An incorrect business identity, duplicate profile, or changed trading details should be explained to Trustpilot as a profile issue. A review containing a supported guideline violation requires its own assessment. Trustpilot’s rules provide for some platform-led removals, but they are not a general opt-out for businesses that dislike their ratings.

Identify the page and the outcome you need

  • The exact public profile URL and the business or domain it represents.
  • Whether your concern is account access, billing, profile identity, or individual reviews.
  • Relevant business identity or domain records if the profile details are wrong.
  • Links to the particular reviews you want assessed and any previous Trustpilot correspondence.

Keep original records. Share only what is relevant, and avoid putting private customer or staff information into a public reply.

Choose the request that fits the problem

These steps explain the platform’s published process. Reporting is available without paying for our service.

  1. Identify which outcome you need: changing account access, ending a subscription, correcting a profile, or challenging particular reviews.
  2. Use Trustpilot’s account or support process for account, billing, and profile details. Its public-profile policy is linked below.
  3. If the issue is individual reviews, assess their content and evidence under the review guidelines. Do not assume profile deletion is an available shortcut.

FICTIONAL EXAMPLE · NOT A CLIENT RESULT

Closing access does not resolve a review dispute

The refund for my cancelled fitting took far longer than promised.

A retailer wants to close its Trustpilot account after receiving the complaint. Account closure and the eligibility of that review are separate questions. The complaint needs assessment on its own facts.

Bring the case to a specialist

Tell us whether the concern is the business identity shown on the profile or the reviews attached to it. For review concerns, include the relevant links. We will explain what we can assess without presenting an account closure as a way to remove a public listing.
